Classroom Drone Essentials is our foundation program, which teaches students about drone applications in the real world, drone safety, and how to fly and code drones.
How it works

Geoconnected is happy to travel across the UK to visit schools to engage and inspire students – especially girls – to be open-minded about STEM subjects and careers. Simply contact me with your preferred date and I will check the availability. Locations more than an hour’s drive from TA21 may incur a surcharge.

How does the day run?
All I need is a large classroom or hall, as we will fly the microdrones indoors.
The Classroom Drone Essentials workshop is 2.5 hours long with a maximum of 30 students per session. I can facilitate two 2.5 hours sessions in a typical school day. I bring all the equipment; schools just need to provide the space.

Tailored to your school curriculum or focus area
Our Classroom Drone Essentials workshop has been taught to over 8,000+ students and teachers by our training provider, the She Maps education team. It provides the foundational skills your students need to learn to fly and code microdrones. Please talk to me if you’d like to include specific content that is relevant to the student's current studies.

Risk assessments completed
The programs have a full risk assessment prior to delivery, and our Classroom Drone Essentials program is aligned with the CAA regulations and The Drone Code for the use of microdrones.

I have full public liability insurance - giving you peace of mind that I take all aspects of the workshop delivery seriously. Copies available on request and on confirmation of your booking.

Book your drone workshop
I take care of everything for your drone workshop. As a She Maps Certified Instructor, I will bring all the required equipment to run the lesson. Your teachers and students just need to bring their enthusiasm!

How much does the drone workshop cost?
The drone workshop is £350.00 for a 2.5-hour immersive drone experience; the only thing you need to provide is the space. If you would like to deliver more than workshop in one day to your students, geoconnected can offer a full day of drone workshops for £650.00. (This would normally be 2 x 2 .5-hour workshops catering up to 30 students in each session).
